New Skoda Fabia sees record sales18 Apr 2008 The Scottish Motoring Writers’ Small Car of the Year 2007, the new Škoda Fabia, has announced record sales – up to 50 orders a day.Skoda has attributed the success to the Fabia’s re-launch last year. Alastair Kerr, operations manager for Skoda in Scotland, said: “These sales figures for 2008 so far represent a fantastic achievement for the new Skoda Fabia. “It’s also great to see that a car which proved so popular with Scottish critics is just as popular with the public. “The new Skoda Fabia is a real all-rounder and with four petrol and three diesel engines to choose from as well as tonnes of leg and head room and a number of safety features as standard, it appeals to a wide range of age groups and lifestyles.” The new Skoda Fabia is now bigger in more ways than one, with the recent launch of the new Skoda Fabia Estate. The Estate combines the contemporary design of the hatchback with even more space. The new Skoda Fabia Estate’s dimensions allows for an impressive 1,460 litre (seats folded) loading area. “Hopefully the new Skoda Fabia Estate will replicate the success of the hatchback in terms of orders,” Alastair added. “It’s certainly the ideal choice for a growing family, especially those looking to keep costs to a minimum.” |
