General Motors among top UK employers

General Motors is one of the best places to work in the UK and Ireland, according to an expert panel of academics, HR practitioners and business writers who have selected GM UK and Ireland to appear in Britain's Top Employers – 2008, published by Guardian Books. Companies included in the publication were judged across a number of categories including pay and benefits, progression and development, work/life balance and company culture for inclusion in the list, which was also announced in The Guardian on 12 April 2008.
Bill Parfitt, Executive Director, GM UK & Ireland and Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors, said: “Our aims for GM in the UK are quite clear.
